It is not unusual
to know children who are cared for by people other than their parents.
They go to before
school care, to school, then to after school care. Large numbers of
them also live in a shared custody situation that splits the time they
spend with each parent weekly, monthly, or yearly.
All too many of
us know someone who has a child that is "medicated" to solve or minimize
behavior problems. Some of these problems are as old as civilization
itself. Others may be caused or exacerbated by our rapidly changing
world or custodial living arrangements.
Because of my obvious
conflict of interests, I am not at will to comment on these medications
that so many of our children are taking. I must, however, point out
that the efficacy and safety of the Bach Flower Remedies are unrivaled.
The gentle Flower Remedies have had good results helping children who
daydream in class, demand constant attention, engage in ongoing sibling
rivalry, and many other problems associated with the childhood years.
